Giving to charity is great – not just for the recipients but for the givers, too. But it can be intimidating to know how to pick the best charity, especially when there are thousands of worthy causes to choose from.
People should consider themselves a philanthropist no matter how much or how little they are giving. Even if you are giving $20, you are still a philanthropist, helping to make a difference for someone in need. So how do we choose? People can figure out what type of cause they want to have an impact on, and take time doing research to find an organization they feel is doing the best work on helping with problems. During this process they could ask themselves some questions: Are they a legitimate organization with the right intentions? Do they operate where you would like to contribute? Is it a growing organization that can help to effect change as a team? Then, make them their charitable partner for life. Continue to follow their progress, continue to learn about them, and continue to support and invest in them to make an impact.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
How do you find out if Worldpix is the right organization for you?
Give us a call, send us an email or visit our website, www.worldpix.org. We would love you to come and share our mission to make a difference in peoples’ lives across the continents.
The Co-founders of Worldpix, Dr. Paul Lynch and Ryan Plakonouris initiated the NPO in order to aid many causes around the world with the help from photographic artists. Over the last 2 years, Worldpix has welcomed 20 photographers who have donated a number of their photographic prints to be sold, to fund important causes in the countries where the image was captured. By utilizing a common passion amoungst a group of people, the photographic artists and volunteers, WorldPix is now assisting 20 causes across the globe.
Givers, philanthropists, are invited to visit the WorldPix site and choose a beautiful image to purchase in aid of a very worthy cause. The image is printed, safely packaged and posted to the donor buyer. The proceeds are then directed to the associated cause the photographer has chosen to assist with their donated images.
Below is a link to the current causes which WorldPix has partnered with, made possible with the help of the affiliate photographers and the buyers of the photographs, the philanthropists.
Here are three beautiful images from affiliate Joshua Snow who has dedicated his images to Sunshine Acres Children’s Home in Phoenix, Arizona.
Join us on this wonderful journey of giving.
