An island country in the Asia Pacific filled with its own remoteness and natural beauty. More recently, New Zealand has become known as a land of storied adventures with habits and dragons.
Like any country, there are tangible needs, and WorldPix is hoping to make a difference in the lives of women and children.
WorldPix Sponsored Organizations
World Pix is in the process of partnering with the following organizations in New Zealand to make a difference in the lives of the people here.
Mark Gee’s photography goes to support the following New Zealand Causes.
The Women’s Refuge, a New Zealand charity, is helping women in domestic violence situations. It provides free and confidential support to all women struggling with domestic violence. “We are an independent, bicultural community organisation and have support services designed especially for children, young people, Māori women, Pasifika women and migrant and refugee women. ”
The government has made a lot of cuts recently, hampering the work of this charity. By supporting women in difficult situations, WorldPix hopes to make a different in the lives of these women and the lives of their children, the next generation.
Variety – the Children’s Charity, established in 1928. “Helps New Zealand’s sick disabled and disadvantaged children reach their full potential. They distribute funds to children in need of basic necessities, medical equipment, life changing mobility needs and essential learning opportunities.”
Whether it’s the Kiwi Kid Sponsorship, Bikes for Kids or Laptops for Learning, Variety New Zealand is helping children experience life so they can grow into happy and healthy adults through three core areas: Future Kiwi Kids, Caring for Kids and Kids on the Move.
This wonderful charity focuses on raising and distributing funds to children in need of basic necessities, vital medical equipment, life changing mobility needs and essential learning opportunities. So many children go without experiencing simple things like riding a bike, playing sports, etc. Variety changes that and each child can experience the joys of being a kid!
WorldPix is happy to partner with world-renowned Astrophotographer, Mark Gee who has donated his photography with the hope of helping those in need at Variety Children’s Charity.
