Joyce Bealer was eight years old when she got her first camera as gift from her parents. At the time it seemed like she had waited forever for this arrival to come. She’s been photographing since then, remaining film based for many years, spending countless hours in her own darkroom. She began doing digital color photography in December 2018 and became excited by the process at that time, doing digital exclusively ever since. She has loved all forms of art all of her life and believes that for her, although she truly loves the art of photographing, to be a photographer is more of a need than even a desire.
